TCQ SPRING RETREAT

You may not believe that kit is coming, but Spring will soon be here and with it….the TCQ Retreat!  What a wonderful time has been planned with great instructors and tons of fun!  Even if you cannot sew all weekend, plan to attend the trunk show and lecture with Janet Andrews Saturday, April 6 at 7:00.  You could also come for dinner!  The lecture and trunk show is free for Tree City Quilters.  Take advantage of this opportunity and have some fun at the same time.

TIP OF THE MONTH:

Color Choices; develop your personal color style by noticing only color when visiting quilt shows or looking at quilts in books and magazines.  Note the color combinations you like best – brights, pastels, or jewel tones, Determine if your preference is one or two color quilts or scrap quilts.

Cut Smart; to cut the maximum number of pieces from a fabric strip, open out the strip.  To cut many pieces, layer several strips and cut them at the same time.

Threading; to make threading a needle easier, lick the NEEDLE eye to attract the dry thread tail.
