At last night's guild Christmas party, Kay Nixon was named "Quilter of the Year." Kay is a valuable guild member who goes out of her way to support guild members, welcome guests, and participate in the activities of the guild. She is well deserving of this honor.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS
It is that time of year when we get caught up in the hustle and bustle of the season. There are so much to do with decorations to put up, cookies to bake, cards to address, last minute gifts to make, presents to wrap, etc., etc., etc.!!!!!! Take a few minutes, from time to time, to remember the important things. You know what they are! And please remember to SMILE! It is amazing what a smile can do and it doesn't cost you anything! A smile is the flag we fly when God is in residence.
You are invited to the annual Christmas Party which will start at 6:00 p.m. Bring a covered dish and your own beverage. Table service will be provided. The challenge is "Christmas Ornament" and the gift exchange, if you want to participate, is up to $20.
Congratulations to our new officers, Marilyn Nisius, Vice President and Judy Malloon, Treasurer.
If you have something that you want to show and tell but is going for Christmas, bring it to the meeting. Please hold anything else until the January meeting.
I want to extend to all of you a special THANK YOU! for participating in the challenges this year. The quilts are being assembled and will be shown at a later meeting. These could not have been made without your participation and I am truly thankful.
See you at the party! Happy Quilting, Kay
Some highlights from the November meeting are in Kay's greeting above.
From Laura: The raffle quilt is almost done! It is to be quilted by Sarah Bistline in January. There is quite a bit of leftover material and we are looking for a volunteer to make a bag for the quilt and maybe pillow shams too. There is a fairly simple Quiltworx pattern for a center starburst for each. If you are interested, please contact Laura Nolletti at 330-466-0822 or nollettilaura@gmail.com.
The Monthly Ongoing Hand Workers will meet on the first Friday of each month from 9:00 to 11:50 at Parkview Christian Church, in the Fireside Room.
The last Monthly Hand Workers meeting for 2018 is Dec. 7. Join us and bring your handwork of any kind (no sewing machines) a small snack to share, and show and tell. Guests are always welcome. Contact Sally Kitchen at 330-345-5702 with any questions.
