January Minutes
Meeting was called to order by President Cassie Anderson.
Our guild has been selected by NEORC to be featured on their website. Marie______________from NEOROC was in attendance to observe and take photos for the website.
Cassie explained a trivia game that will be held each month. There will be a question at the sign up table. Each person writes the answer on a piece of paper and a name will be drawn from all the correct answers.
Thank you card read from Ruth Bishop, Quilter of the Year for 2011.
Thanks to Barb Byler and Vicky Hartzler for compiling this years' Membership Booklet. By Laws were included this year and there are some changes to be made. They will work on locating current bylaws and if/when located will update everyone's booklet.
One change to meeting programs - Rose Marie's program on Cultural Influences in Quilting will be August 13 and the auction will take place on May 14. Further discussion of the auction will be held next meeting to decide on distribution of auction money.
Cassie explained the planned monthly book review. A sign up sheet was circulated for a 3-4 minute book review presentation on any kind of book about quilting. Can be a novel, instruction book or anything that pertains to quilting.

Committee Reports
Treasurer current balance $1646.89
Community projects - first baby of the year quilts were delivered. Thank you to Gwen and Dorothy for making those quilts.
Workshops - there will be a reversible table runner workshop on February 25 at the Church from
9AM - 3PM taught by Jane Richardson. Cost $5. Sign up sheet circulated.
Quilt Show August 10& 11
Sara Bistline reported that the committee met in December. She went over the categories for judging. There will be a quilters boutique. There will also be vendors. We will be presented with a challenge at next meeting. Each will receive 1/8 yd. of fabric to create an 18 X 24 piece for "Lincoln Highway runs thru Tree City Country". More details to follow.
New Business
Mable Stocker was appointed as historian for the guild. She is collecting materials and will get them into a scrapbook for members to enjoy. It was suggested that the scrapbook be displayed at the quilt show in August.
Discussion of a buy/sell section to be included in the newsletter. Tabled until next meeting.
PROGRAM
"What's on a Label" was presented by Sally Kitchen with much interaction from members.
Jolene Rehm and Jeri Fickes talked about choosing fabric for the One Block Wonder. They will conduct a workshop on April 14 (changed from date shown in membership booklet)
Naomi Lance was the winner of the trivia game.
Meeting adjourned.
Refreshments were furnished by Pat Hall, Sue Jusli and Sally Kitchen and were enjoyed by all.
